After both her career and relationship hit the skids, Imogene is forced to make the humiliating move back home to New Jersey with her eccentric mother and younger brother. Adding further insult to injury, there's a strange man sleeping in her old bedroom, and an even stranger man sleeping in her mother's bed.

Comedy starring Kristen Wiig. Imogene is a hapless writer living in New York who is forced to move back to her mother's house in New Jersey when her career takes a serious downturn. Greeted by an old male lodger sleeping in her room, and her mother's new toy-boy, she soon feels trapped and frustrated. However, she eventually begins to realize the importance of family and embraces her roots - whilst looking for her ticket out of there.

Set in the 1980s, following tragedy, teenage Jude moves from Vermont to New York City to live with his father in the punk-fueled East Village. Caught in the chaos of city life, Jude and his friends, Eliza and Teddy embark on a journey of self-realization in a neighborhood on the verge of riots.

Pekar is a frustrated file clerk working at the local V.A. Hospital. He is also a comic book fan who befriends the young illustrator Robert Crumb and is soon inspired to create comic books based on his own life. Along his bumpy journey he meets, marries and falls in love with Joyce, an admiring comic book seller.
