In "The King?s Ankus", Mowgli is led to a vast treasure in a hidden city by the python, Kaa. He does not realize, however that the allure of the treasure leads men to kill... In "Red Dog", Mowgli and his wolfpack are under threat from a vicious pack of wild dogs, and Mowgli must turn to Kaa for help to defeat them. Classics Illustrated tells these tales in colorful comic strip form, offering an introduction for younger readers. This edition also includes a biography of Rudyard Kipling, theme discussions, a poem by Kipling and study questions, which can be used both in the classroom and at home to further engage the reader in the story.
